Meet Samm

Hi there! My name is Samm and I’m a wife, a mommy, and a teacher. After graduating from college with my degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, I took a teaching job teaching Kindergarten in the middle of the school year. There is always a learning curve with your first year of teaching, but I felt even more so having to jump right in the middle of the year. It was quite the experience and I learned a lot. Since then, I have worked in many different environments-childcare facilities, schools, and in-home settings. I have taught and worked with children from birth through 5th grade as a teacher, tutor, and private homeschool teacher.

Family

I am happily married to the love of my life, Thomas! He brings all my blogging dreams to life as he handles all the technical side of this endeavor. He is my biggest cheerleader and the best teammate I could ever hope for! We have three beautiful girls-Riley, Olivia, and Lily! I get to be home with them everyday and I love it! Currently, I am homeschooling the girls and it is the best! I will share with you on here and across my social media the different activities that we are working on.

Mama Bear University

I started this blog shortly after having my first child as a way to share activities I was working on with my daughter. I became a stay at home mom when my first was born and I love every moment of it. I also love teaching and this blog is a way for me to share what I am still doing as a teacher. My students are now my children and I get to share with you the different activities I plan for them and what we are learning through these activities.

I also recently started creating teacher resources on Teachers Pay Teachers now that my oldest is at preschool age. As I create resources to aid her learning, I post them on TPT to share with other teachers and homeschool parents.

The activities I share on here are meant to be hands-on activities where your child is learning through exploration and play. I feel children are most excited about learning and most engaged when they are having fun and don’t even realize they are learning. I hope that you will find these activities easy to implement and fun for both you and your child.

Thanks for being here!

Feel free to reach out with any questions or comments you might have about the activities you see here.
